Steve Messere

Founder & CEO

Steve Messere founded Revenue Spark after spending the last eighteen years in senior leadership positions with some of the preeminent licensors of editorial and commercial photography, motion picture and television images, as well as various leading technology firms including Oracle, Adobe and Apple Computer.

He has spent time working in New York, London, Paris, Washington DC and Seattle. Steve has extensive knowledge in developing technology business operations systems and brings with him a significant portfolio of experience in Fortune 500 operational procedures. read more »

Gerald Franz

President

 Mr. Franz has over 30 years of experience in a broad scope of areas including Environmental Science/Urban Planning, University Teaching, and Environmental and Business Development Consulting. After teaching in the early 70’s he became the director of the Environmental unit of the NYC Department of City Planning; then in the late 70’s founded and managed McKeown & Franz Inc. (MFI), a premier environmental consulting firm in NYC. The Trump Organization, Forest City Ratner and several NYS agencies were included among hundreds of MFI clients. In the mid 90’s after completing a number of investment deals with a major MFI client/investor Mr. Franz became a business development consultant as CEO of Insight Capital LLC which advised companies and investors on disruptive technology investments and IPO’s. In 2002 he helped found and became CEO of Ecovive LLC, an environmental technology/products company. Currently he is the Senior Partner of Strategic Business Development Partners Inc. Linda Caruso

Business Consulting

Linda Caruso comes to Revenue Spark with an extensive background in sales and marketing, specializing in branding and customer relations. Over the past several years Linda has focused on working with small businesses, helping them to develop sales strategies to communicate more effectively with prospective customers, as well as in the identification of new sales opportunities.
 
Prior to that, Linda was Vice President of Operations at Time Inc, a division of Time Warner, where she oversaw a multi-million dollar operating arm for the publishing giant. She began her career as an analyst for a number of retail companies, many of them premium brands such as Coach Leather and Macy’s. Accomplished, creative, she has a proven track record of delivering results in a P&L environment.

Gary Hirsch

Executive Coaching

Gary Hirsch is an Executive Coach and Group Leader with Vistage International, the world’s leading membership organization for business owners, company presidents, and CEOs. Vistage’s 14,000 members participate in peer groups in 200 cities around the United States and in 16 countries around the world, including, most recently, China.

Gary leads two think tanks of Tucson business leaders who collaborate to become better leaders, make better decisions and achieve better results, ultimately growing their businesses two to three times faster after joining Vistage. Ed Szydlik has spent the majority of his career in the retail industry.  He served in various senior management positions such as:

  • Divisional Merchandise Manager for Target Stores based in Minneapolis (domestics and hard lines), responsible for $600 million in sales. 
  • Senior Vice President of Marketing and Merchandising for Transworld Entertainment Corporation, based in Albany NY.  The company did $500 million in annual sales and was the largest independent distributor of CDs, DVDs, and video games in the USA.
  • Senior Executive Vice President of Franks Nursery and Crafts, based in Detroit with $500 million in annual sales.
  • President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Trak Auto Corporation, a NASDAQ  traded company with sales of over $300 million per year.
  • President and Chief Operating Officer of Northern Automotive Corporation, at the time the largest automotive parts retailer in the USA, with 800 stores and over $800 million in annual sales.
  • President and Co-founder of Digital Art Services, a full service advertising and marketing agency based in Long Island, NY with $4 million in annual billings.

Education: B.S. in Economics from Northeastern Illinois University and an MBA from the Keller Graduate School of Management in Chicago, Illinois.

Juan Ramón Zarco

International Business Development

Juan Ramón Zarco is a highly seasoned international business development executive having executed foreign market presence in Latin America, Europe, Middle East, and Asia.  He has demonstrated success in building multinational infrastructure for greenfield through mature businesses, utilizing top-tiered, talented teams to achieve timely success in competitively challenging and fast growth environments for sustainable and technology companies such as Sprint, U.S. Cable (acquired by Comcast), and MicroStrategy.

 

A notable speaker, he has presented at major events throughout Europe, Asia, Latin America and Eurasia on issues on strategy, financing, and sustainable energy markets, and can collaborate across all levels of an organization to ensure compatible focus, communication, and strategic success – from innovation to integration.

Tim Davis

Behavioral Sales Coaching

Tim Davis is a certified Behavioral Analyst of TTI Systems, a member of the National Speakers Association, holds a teaching certificate from the UCLA Extension Program, and has currently clocked well over 10,000 hours in coaching and speaking engagements.

Tim has been known to teach Socratic Questioning, Behavioral Selling, and Professional Timing in Pitching and Selling. What makes Tim unique is his ability to write sales presentations based on your specific industry and the selling style of each individual in your company. Role-playing objections and developing effective closings are his forte.

Tim employs a number of methodologies in his work, such DISC assessment and behavioral sales analysis, enabling him to quickly and accurately uncover a client's real thought process and motivation, and giving him the ability to be both an extremely engaging teacher and, at the same time, a highly-effective sales coach.

Michael Palmisciano

VP Business Development

Mike Palmisciano comes to Revenue Spark with over 15 years of experience in high level corporate sales and marketing, having dealt and worked with a wide array of technology products and services. He has held senior level positions with world renowned companies like Oracle, Computer Associates, and Sterling Software, as well as six different technology start-up companies, all within which he was responsible for new business development, sales, marketing and customer service.
 
His background spans several vertical markets, including financial services, government, utilities, manufacturing, telecommunications and new media. Five of the previous start-up companies Mike has worked for have either successfully gone public or been sold, thus demonstrating he possesses not only the vital hands-on business development skills necessary to helping smaller businesses grow, but also those involved with enabling well-established firms to expand their market presence. He has developed and negotiated multiple business deals in excess of one million dollars to Fortune 100 customers such as J.P. Morgan, USB, Pfizer and the City of New York.

Billy James Cobin

Online Marketing & Digital Strategy

Billy brings over 20 years of media experience to the table with his work in television and on the web. One of the pioneers in the use of digital technology in the recording studio, Billy has seen first-hand the transformative impact emerging technology has had in our day-to-day lives.
 
As a principal of InterCreative Media, a web design and political consulting company, Billy has most recently been actively involved in the national debate on health care reform. Additionally, InterCreative Media (designers of the Revenue Spark web site) are now working on several second-generation web sites for various candidates in the 2010 election cycle.

Mark Mitchell

Emerging Market Research / Video Editing & Production

Mark Mitchell is a writer and filmmaker. His mother was an entertainment critic for a local TV station in Boston while he was growing up, thus he was exposed to the inner-workings of TV and film at an early age, and caught the “bug” for visual storytelling early on in life.

Mark was a founding member of the groundbreaking children’s theatre group “The Freelance Players” in Boston at the young age of ten. His award-winning feature directorial debut, "Vote and Die", is an independent ‘mocumentary’ political comedy now available on Amazon.com. He has written and directed TV documentaries for PBS and CNN, and also worked in news, current affairs, politics, and has recently become focused on Internet video convergence and integration. Paige Welborn

Market Research

Paige MacKenzie Welborn is a marketing and development consultant, on-camera host, and spokesperson dedicated to green-living. Paige began her career working for New York City-based production offices and theater producers, first as a Management Associate and Program Administrator, ultimately achieving the position of Director of Marketing with Davenport Theatrical Enterprises.

She now works as a freelance marketing and development consultant for small business, continuing to pursue her passion for Sustainability issues as an on-camera host and spokesperson for Green organizations. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, with a BA in Theater and Media Studies.
